Whenever I come to this class, I get the push I need to get the most out of the class. The instructors are awesome, and... you always learn something new. I have been coming here for a few months now and since day one I can honestly say what an amazing establishment. Walter... (owner) really takes the time and effort to teach, coach, and motivate each person individually to reach their full potential. Walter, along with his awesome staff and committed members, are real experts in the art of BJJ and Muay Thai and find dynamic and clear ways to deliver lessons for effective performance. You will definitely get a great body and mind workout! The environment is very friendly and welcoming filled with funny and great personalities. The gym is big and highly equipped with all things related to the sport. Gym is also very clean and whiped down every night. If your looking for an escape from the daily grind or just a way to get into awesome shape this is the place for you!read more

We had our son enrolled in a karate school, but he quickly lost interest as the instructors were not very motivating.... At the suggestion of a family member, we looked into BJJ. We brought him to FFMMA 3 years ago and we haven't looked back since! Walter and all the instructors are patient and make the class fun for the kids...all while teaching respect, discipline and life-long self defense skills. Our son looks forward to going to class; he's met some great kids along the way and they are all so supportive of each other. Walter runs a great school and we couldn't be happier! Fight and fitness mma is such a wonderful place to train and learn. My son is 11 yrs old and has been training with... Walter, Dimitri and bud in Brazilian jujitsu and Muay Thai. My son competed in his first tournament today he was so nervous and ended up winning first place. What a confidence booster for my son. He is learning great skills from great people. I highly recommend Fight Fitness MMA. My son gains more confidence every day. It gives him a place to learn a skill... and challenge him daily to be better while learning life skills. The weekly word of the week is an important part as he learns to be humble and understand that learning how to fight is a responsibility and at times is better to walk away and speak your mind rather than react physically. If you want your kids to learn a skill they will have for life then definitely go to fight fitness mma.read more

Its always a great time coming here! You definitely get a work out but more importantly I love the technique you learn... from Walt. Walt is an excellent teacher even with a full class he still manages to give some one-on-one pointers. Never a dull class. Everyone is friendly and enthusiastic. This place is the best! Super friendly and family-like environment so when I first started I never felt out of place.... Walter is an amazing instructor for every kind of student, from beginner to advanced he knows how to push you and make sure you are drenched by the end of class! I take both BJJ and Muay Thai here and love having the combination of classes and different styles to work on. This place focuses on what's important: technique, students, quality of the workout, respect. I've seen many places lose sight of that.read more

After my brief introduction to jiujitsu in college, I came to Fight and Fitness MMA to advance and refine my training... in my newfound favorite sport. From my first day of class, I was shown techniques that improved my game drastically. I had great training partners with diverse skillsets and an outstanding instructor, Walter Kimmel, who taught the intricacies of a veriety of techniques. Training five nights a week, for the majority of the summer, I excelled beyond what I imagined was possible in those few short months. Fight and Fitness MMA is a community of driven people who contribute to an atmosphere where everyone is engaged and respectful with a desire to learn and grow in the sport. My daughter started training when she was 5. She hasn't stop since and loves every class. The kids receive lots of... personal attention and get good quickly. Walter Kimmel and the other instructors really care about the kids. They are patient and makes class fun and it shows. There are boys and girls of all ages learning practical high-level self defense skills and valuable life lessons. Other parents talk about how their children have gained confidence and respect. I started training here as a beginner and found the atmosphere very friendly. Everyone was helpful and welcoming . I’ve... been training awhile now in BJJ and Muay Thai. It’s an awesome workout and so much fun. Fight and Fitness MMA is the best place around Garwood for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA. Great spot to train for women and children too.
